- I'm practicing for tomorrow's game, and smoke isn't a big deal.
- Jose, why are you practicing soccer in all this smoke?

- You see, smoke is dangerous because of the effects on our health. Smoke can create many respiratory illnesses. Fact: More people die because of smoke than fire. Smoke travels across the country too. Smoke is dangerous to anything living!

- However, you see kids, NASA and NOAA helped create a website called AirNow. It gives air quality updates, and also information about wildfires. This can help us determine when to be outside, and what we should do. It can also tell us the smoke forecast. So, on Thursday, let's say, it will be smoky. No recess outside that day. This is obtained from a satelite!

- Jose, you can check AirNow, make sure your pets stay out of smoke, stay out of smoke, do indoor activities during smoky times, etc. Also, don't burn when it is windy and dry. This can create a wildfire that makes more smoke! DO NOT MAKE A LOT OF SMOKE!!!
