- On the Sunday before his death, Jesus began his trip to Jerusalem, knowing that soon he would lay down his life for our sins. The crowds welcomed him by waving palms, shouting "Hosanna!"
- Crucified
- On Maundy Thursday, Jesus and his disciples gathered in the Upper Room to prepare for the Passover Feast. That evening after sunset, Jesus washed the feet of his disciples before the shared the Passover meal.
- Buried
- Late that same evening, Jesus was betryed with a kiss by Judas Iscariot and arrested by the Sanhedrin. He was taken to the home of the high priest, Caiaphas.
- He is Risen!!!
- Good Friday is the most difficult day of Holy Week as it was the day Christ's journey turned painful and He was sentenced to death by crucifixion. He was tormented, mocked, and pierced with a crown of thorns. He was made to carry his own cross to Calvary where he was tortured again and nailed to a cross.
- Jesus' body was placed in a tomb and guarded by Roman soldiers. His body was treated with spices and was wrapped in long sheets of linen cloth.
- On Sunday, or Easter, Jesus' was resurrected. He made several appearances that day. The first of which was Mary Magdalene. His resurrection gives us hope and we are to spread the GOOD NEWS of His death and resurrection!
