- That is me, Franco Cesana. I was born September 20, 1931 in Bologna, Italy.
- I attended school here as well.
- Me and my family never got caught by the Nazis because we moved from one hut to another.
- When I was 7, Mussolini enforced “racial” laws against the Jews: I was expelled from school, and went instead to a Jewish school, My father died in 1939
- The Nazis invaded Italy more than ever.
- I was shot by Germans while on a scouting mission in the mountains.
- My body was delivered to my family on my 13th birthday.
- I became Italy’s youngest partisan.
- I did not make it through the Holocaust. I hope you will stand up if this happens again .
