- The revolution began in 1789 due to food shortages and economic problems. in 1792 king luis and his queen were imprisoned. 9 months later the queen was beheaded

- Napoleon was a political and military leader who came to power during the french revolution and many successful Campinas throughout the revolutionary wars. he ruled the french from 1799 to 1804
