John Lewis went to this building because that is where he worked because he was a congressman.
This was John Lewis as a little kid when he went on a road trip with his uncle Otis. They drove from Dothan to New York
After the trip with his uncle, he never felt the same at all ever again. He started riding the bus to school ever though it would remind him of how unfair his life was compared to the white kids.
As a kid, John Lewis heard about this young preacher that ended up being Martin Luther King. He related to him so much he was so interested him.
He also heard about Rosa Parks, the lady who refused to give up her bus seat to a white person and got kicked off and arrested just for standing up for herself.
As a teen, Lewis decided to finally write to the Attorney of King and Mrs. Parks. He ended up getting a meeting with Mr. King himself. They mostly talked about Lewis' future and King ended up not being able to help him attend Troy state because of the possible consequences for him and his family.
