- Haden Edwards is now allowed to settle people in Texas.He collects more money from the old settlers so, his contract is canceled.
- Edwards arrests the new alcalde and declares the land free from Mexico and names it Fredonian republic.
- Stephen F. Austin and the Mexican government send troops and Edward and his new republic flee.
