  • The french and Indian war war began because of a conflict between the British and French. The problem started when the french moved to the Ohio County, and built a fort called Duquesne in the Ohio River, (now Pittsburgh) The first battle took place in this fort, took place in May, 28 1754
  • Before the war started, a meeting was held by colonists in the summer of 1754, to come up with a plan to beat the French. The main purpose is to establish a unified front by the colonies to see how the french dealt with negotiating with, and traded with the natives.
  • In the beginning of 1754, The governor from Virginia sent soldiers to win the french from the land that French said they had as their own. The leader of this army was 21 year old George Washington.
