- Hey kids, can you guys say 'Mama'?

- Sarah just gave birth to newborn twins, Lillian and Louis, who are beginning to comprehend and observe the world around them. They listen to sounds and voices, trying to focus on the new sounds they are hearing. Lillian and Louis are able to recognize their mother Sarah's voice. Sarah talks to her babies often and reminds them how much she loves them.
- Lillian and Louis have just had their first birthday's. They are both beginning to understand more language around them, and begin to babble more and mimic sounds that they hear. They their first word, which is the name of who they love most: Mama!
- Lillian and Louis are 2 years old, speaking about 200 different words. They understand simple phrases, questions and commands, like "more milk?" and "go by-bye?." They are both ready for their nap and want their mother to hold them.
- Lillian and Louis are both 3 years old, and use about 1,000 words each. Their speech is mostly understandable and they can carry on simple conversations. They are also able to comprehend more complex questions, so Sarah asks her children about their day.
