- It is concluded: Banquo, thy souls's flight, if it find heaven, must find it out tonight.
- True, my lord.
- Act 3, Scene 2
- O, full of scorpions is my mind, dear wife!
- But in them nature's copy's not eterne.
- Act 3, Scene 3
- There's but one down; the son is fled.
- Banquo becomes suspicious of Macbeth, which worries him. He starts plotting to kill him.
- Act 3 Scene 4
- Thou canst not say I did it. Never shake thy glory locks at me.
- Lady Macbeth and Macbeth discuss how the events have troubled them and how to deal with it.
- Act 3 Scene 5
- Hath been but for a wayward son, spiteful and wrathful; who, as others do.
- Banquo was killed and Fleance fled the scene.
- Act 3 Scene 6
- The gracious Duncan was pitied of Macbeth.
- The son of Duncan, from whom this tyrant holds the due of birth, lives in the English court.
- After Macbeth learns the news of Banquo's death he has a banquet and sees his ghost. He starts shouting at Banquo and causes a scene. To keep the guests from pressing him, Lady Macbeth tells them that this is a common issue of his and they should not bother him.
- You shall offend him and extend his passion. Feed, and regard him not.
- The three witches meet Hecate, their leader, and she is angry with them. She calls Macbeth a wayward son, and believes that they are wasting time with him. She wants them to be spreading evil not focusing on Macbeth.
- Lennox and the Lord talk about the murders and mention how Macduff did not show up to the banquet.
