  • The Meeting of Estates General was during a time of a financial crisis. Louis XVI had a vote by order on raising taxes, but the Third Estate did not agree on this because they could barely buy anything.
  • March on Versailles
  • BREAD
  • The Tennis Court Oath was when the National Assembly was established and where their pledge came in place. They has also started working on the constitution which was established in 1791.
  • Reign of Terror
  • On July 14, 1789 a huge mob attacked the prison known as Bastille. This started a revolution because their intentions were not to let the prisoners out, but to get ammunition and arms.
  • Rise of Napleon
  • I am your new Emporer
  • On October 5th, 1789 a huge group of women marched through out the town. They were demanding lowering the prices of bread, and the king promised he would provide them food and more in the future.
  • The Reign of Terror was a violent conflict between the two groups of republics. During this time Robespierre had control over the French Government, and at the time the guillotine was there to execute thousands of people.
  • WHY
  • In 1804 Napleon crowned himself emperor. Since he was smart with the military, he was successful when he waged the war against European nations. Napleon also had some early reforms
