- Hi there!I'm Renee Watson the author of Piecing me.
- Jade is the protagonist of the story Piecing Me Together. Jade is a young woman who feels that if she wants to thrive, she must leave her impoverished area. She is leaving her pals and attending a private high school in order to take advantage of all the chances that come her way.
- But she still feels like an outsider, she can sense the socioeconomic divide between her and everyone else at her school, she just can't relate to anyone, and her skin color is another factor.
