Classification of Vertebrate Animals
Hello! Join me on my adventure to learn about the different type of vertebrate animals!
Mammals
They have warm-blooded and usually have hair or fur on their bodies. Also, they feed their young with milk.
Birds
They are warm-blooded animals and have feathers, beaks, wings, and two legs. They are born from eggs.
Vertebrates are animals that have a skeleton with an internal backbone surrounded by bones called vertebrae.
Amphibians
Examples: Giraffe, gazelle, lion, elephant, zebra, dog, tiger, monkey, cow, rhinoceros, horse, rabbit, cat, whale and dolphin.
Reptiles
They are cold-blooded animals that have a body covered with scales or shells. Also, they live in water or on land.
Examples: Duck, peacock, swan, hen , rooster, chicken, owl, eagle, penguin, ostrich, pigeon, swallow, flamingo, pelican and stork.
Fish
Examples: Frog, toad, newt and salamander.
They are cold-blooded and have a thin and humid skin. They live on land and in water. Also, they undergo metamorphosis to grow up.
Examples: Tortoise, cobra, snake, crocodile, viper, lizard, iguana, alligator, turtle, chameleon, gecko and anaconda.
Examples: Shark, blue tang, clownfish, angelfish, goldfish, sardine, salmon, bream, stingray, tuna, catfish and koi fish .
They have cold-blooded, live and lay their eggs in water. They have fins, scales and breathe through gills.
