- Some characteristics of the New England Colonies were whaling, ships and harbors, and a government
- The Middle Colonies
- The Middle Colonies had freedom of religion, which meant that anyone can worship anything that they want to. They were also called the breadbasket colony because of the amount of wheat that they grew. They had some slavery, but not as much as the Southern Colonies.
- The Southern Colonies
- The Southern Colonies has slavery, cash crops, and a lot of debt. It was close to Spain, so if Spain decided to attack, the only people they would kill would be debtors. They most of the people there were Christian, and there weren't a lot of choices for Religion.
