"Come, let's sell him to the Ishmaelites and not lay hand on him; after all, he is our brother, and our own flesh and blood."
"What will we gain if we kill our brother and cover up his blood?"
"Its my son's robe! Some ferocious animal has devoured him. Joseph has surely been torn to pieces."
"The Hebrew servant, whom you have brought among us, came in to me and laugh at me. But as soon as I lifted up my voice and cried, he left his garment beside me and fled out of the house."
"This is the way your servant treated me,"
“I also had a dream: there were three cake baskets on my head, and in the uppermost basket there were all sorts of baked food for Pharaoh, but the birds were eating it out of the basket on my head.”
“Do not interpretations belong to God? Please tell them to me.”
“In my dream there was a vine before me, and on the vine there were three branches. As soon as it budded, its blossoms shot forth, and the clusters ripened into grapes. Pharaoh’s cup was in my hand, and I took the grapes and pressed them into Pharaoh’s cup and placed the cup in Pharaoh’s hand.”
“Since God has shown you all this, there is none so discerning and wise as you are. You shall be over my house, and all my people shall order themselves as you command. Only as regards the throne will I be greater than you.”
God has shown to Pharaoh what he is about to do. There will come seven years of great plenty throughout all the land of Egypt, but after them there will arise seven years of famine, and all the plenty will be forgotten in the land of Egypt.
