- Scattered fruit in public can be claimed as it is not likely to have been left intentionally.
- Homemade bread cannot be claimed as it has small changes but bread from a baker is all the same. Some of these have coins in them so that is a simon.
- Scattered wheat and money can be claimed, but stacked money is not as simple.
- Rebbi x asked for his meat to be cut in a triangle as a simon that it had not been changed for non-kosher meat!
- If you find a lost cake in a public domain, you may keep it, howeeever if it has as simon, such as broken glass or money in it you a required to announce it
- The mishna says that you can keep pieces of flax as they are valuable so the person will check and find out that he lost it.
- See all the homemade bread being different? You may keep the bakers bread but not homemade.
- Cuts of meat and fish on string can be kept as strings of fish were all tied in a standard fishers knot.
