What is the social hierarchy like in the south?
At the top of the hierarchy is the planters, they are usually the richest and they own the most land, after is the small farmers who owned land but had less money, followed by poor farmers who live in the Appalachian mountains and had even less money, and at the bottom is the slaves who work in fields. Aside from slaves there were also indentured servants, but they are normally men so there are less women of the working class here in the south.

How does each person in the south help the society?
Mainly men run society, they have roles in the government and do majority of farming. Women should be in houses raising children, but some women get jobs working. Slaves don't do much else than work unless they are freed, which then they can presume normal roles in society.
