- Tangerine is an action-packed novel told from the first person perspective of Paul fisher. From sinkholes to unexpected deaths to theft. This novel has a little bit of every thing.
- Antagonist - Erik Fisher
- This story is set in Tangerine County. Florida in the mid-1990´s. Paul´s family has just moved to a development called Lake Windsor Downs where they experience a number of natural disaster.
- Conflict - Character vs. Character
- Paul Fisher is initially a fearful 7th grader who resents his ´´handicap´´ - his lost eyesight - which prevents him from playing soccer. However, as the story progresses, Paul transforms into a brave, courageous and confident individual.
- Theme
- Erik Fisher is Paul´s football star brother. He is connected, selfish, hurtful, and downright mean. He thinks he is above the rules everyone else follows and that he can do whatever he wants.
- Someone´s going to pay for this!
- The main conflict in the story is instigated by Erik. He antagonizes anyone who cannot further is own motives, primarily in regard to the Erik Fisher Football Dream. However, he especially targets his brother, Paul, who he tortures whenever the secret behind Paul´s poor vision.
- Dishonesty can tear a family apart.
