- Hello, this is Basketball News at 8, and the game has just begun, and the two players jump up for the ball. Both players have an energy transformation, as their original potential energy has now become kinetic energy as they jump for the ball! The coach also has an energy transformation, as his potential energy from sitting in his chair has changed to kinetic energy as he stands up and cheers on his team!
- The pink team gets the ball, and sneakily eyes one another. What are they up to? Number 5 gives the point guard a wink, and sprints across the floor to the three-point line, another energy transformation from potential to kinetic.
- In a flurry of action, number 5 speeds past the blue team's number 7, and is open for the shot! Number 11 on the pink team passes the ball, transferring her potential energy that she had stored up to the ball, in which it transfers to kinetic energy as it crisply lands in 5's hands. Elastic energy is also shown, as the ball compresses when it hits the ground, and decompresses when it stops bouncing. Also, though the deformation of the basketball isn't very easy to see, if you were to watch it in slow-motion, you could see the ball deform and reform when it hits the ground.
- Number 5 catches the ball and makes a perfect shot, transferring his gravitational potential energy to the ball, which transforms it into kinetic energy to shoot towards the basket! The cheerleaders erupt in applause, transforming their previous potential energy to kinetic as they cheer on their player! Number 11 also has an energy transformation, as her potential energy transformed into kinetic as she ran towards number 5 to give him a high-five!
- Number 5 and 11 on the pink team high five, number 11 transferring her kinetic energy to number 5, sending him staggering back a bit with the impact!
- --30 Minutes Later--The game finishes, the pink team winning 30-23! They go to shake hands, but it looks like the blue team isn't too happy about the loss. They act like they're going to shake hands, but instead they slap pink team's number 11's hand, transferring their kinetic energy to number 11, causing her hand to fly back a bit. Not the best sportsmanship, but still a great game! That's all for tonight folks, Basketball News out!
