Storyboard Text

  • Act I
  • Hence! Home, you idle creatures, get you home.
  • Act II
  • What, Lucius, ho!
  • Called you, my lord?
  • Act III
  • Ay, Caesar, but not gone.
  • The Ides of March have come.
  • Flavius and Marullus question celebrating commoners. They argue with them and demand that the common people stop celebrating Caesar's victory. The people of Rome have dressed Caesar's statue and partied in the Roman streets. Caesar and his companions attend the Lupercal festival where he is offered a crown.
  • Act IV
  • These many, then, shall die; their names are pricked
  • Brutus talks to Lucius about his fears of Julius Caesar and what he could do with his power. Lucius finds a letter addressed to Brutus while searching for a flint. Brutus reads the letter and it seems to be an invitation to petition against Caesar. Cassius shows up at the door with more unknown men and asks Brutus to join them- he does.
  • Act V
  • Now, Antony, our hopes are answerèd.
  • Caesar mocks the Soothsayer as he told him to "beware of the ides of march", and since that day has come, Caesar believes that he is in no danger-surrounded by his friends. The conspirators plan on eliminating him that day and fool him into following their scheme. They surround Caesar and stab him after telling Caesar they needed to discuss something. Brutus speaks during Caesar's funeral and allows Antony to as well, the Romans are gullible and believe whoever was speaking.
  • Antony, Lepidus, and Octavius make a list of people they must eliminate that may not have supported Caesar completely. Brutus's team plans their strategy on taking down Antony. Brutus and Cassius get into an argument and bicker for a while but eventually make up. Brutus sees the ghost of Caesar who tells him he will see him at Phillipi.
  • Your brother too must die. Consent you, Lepidus?
  • On the plains of Phillipi, Antony and Brutus's troops fight. Cassius and Brutus say their goodbyes. The groups' battle, during the altercation, Lucilius surrenders and claims to be Brutus so the real Brutus can escape. Brutus and Cassius die.
