In this scene, Odysseus and his men arrive on the island of Aeolus.
In this scene, Aeolus gives Odysseus two bags of wind as parting gifts.
As Odysseus was asleep the men open the bags thinking there is silver and gold in the bags but they get blown back to Aeolus’s island. They are now left all on their own as the king refuses to help.
The men happen to go on the Laestrygones island where they are attacked with boulders and Odysseus and some of his men survive.
After the last scene, the ship sails to Aeaea where Circe is there, who everyone thinks is a witch. She welcomes them in and prepares a meal for Odysseus’s men. After this she quickly turns his men into pigs. The remaining men run to tell Odysseus.
Odysseus goes to save his men, but before he enters he is given a plant by Hermes that protects him from Circes power. She then returns his men back from pigs to humans and after a year lets them go.
