  • Did I do anything wrong? Is there something that I can do to fix this?

  • A week later...
  • One day, Marcus got sent to the Principal's Office. The principal told Marcus that he was sent there because fellow students had stigmatized him for his recent behaviors. While the principal was confronting Marcus, all Marcus could think of was how unfair this treatment was, not caring about the school rules anymore.
  • I don't care about anything anymore...
  • Hi Marcus, I called you here to talk about the behaviors you've been acting on as they are inappropriate on school grounds. Also, unnatural hair color is prohibited on school grounds, so please, by tomorrow I expect your hair to return to its normal hair color.
  • Even though the principal had told Marcus to change his hair color to its natural color, Marcus did not listen and continued to turn to deviance. This turning is known as the 'Strain Theory' since Marcus had perceived the principal's proposal to change his appearance as unfair. Because of this unfairness, Marcus continued to act tough.
  • Sigh...Marcus again.
  • Do you think I care? I'm a senior and you guys are just freshmen here. I can do whatever I want.
