- I’m sooo thirsty! My throat feels as dry as this desert!
- Oh my gosh I know. This drought has lasted 2 weeks already!
- We can go look!
- She’s right, I think we should look somewhere else. Maybe by those mountains?
- Hey, everyone! We need to find water or we’ll all be gone soon.
- I don’t know! I just used my hind legs and claws to get a grip… Can you guys not do that??
- How did you get up there!? We keep sliding back down and can’t get a good grip or a good push!
- After hundreds of tries from all of the bunnies, the only ones who could make it to the top were the 3 longer-legged rabbits of the group. Unforrtunately, none of the desert bunnies left behind survived due to their inability to climb and reach the water source on the other side.
- There’s water on the other side!! I’m so sorry everyone but we need to survive. We’ll try to come back when we can!
- It hasn’t rained more than half an inch in over 10 days!
- I know… I have a very bad feeling about this.

- After many thousands of years of evolution, the desert bunnies have grown much longer hind legs with larger muscles and claws to be able to climb the mountain to reach the newly discovered water source.
