Storyboard Text

  • 710.5 cm 710.5 cm
  • 30° 30°
  • So Moses built the snake out of bronze and put it on a poll.
  • Before finishing the story, one more Math question. How tall was the bronze snake from the ground, if Moses was 710.5 cm away, and looking at 30° angle? (His eyes are 153 cm above the ground.)
  • 153 cm
  • x - 153 cm
  • 153 cm
  • We again will use SohCahToa, and again, use tangent. The equation you have should look like: Tan (30) = (x-153) / 710.5 If you rewrite the equation, it becomes: x = Tan (30) * 710.5 + 153 So x = 563.21 cm.
  • Just like the last one, we first set the variable. Let's say that x represents how tall the bronze snake from the ground.
  • So anyone who looked at the snake was cured of any poisoning by the snakes and lived. However, some chose not to look at the snake and died, because they did not believe that looking at it will cure them.
  • This is a real story that can be found in the Bible. This story is based on Numbers 21:4-9. Thank you for reading!
