- One early Saturday morning, 7 year old Albert was peacefully sleeping when suddenly, his mom entered his room woke Albert up. He knew what today was, clean up day.
- Clean Up Day
- Albert complained, “But mom please can we just skip it this week!” his mom sits on his very messy bed, “Honey that's what we did last week look at how messy your room has gotten.” she said. Albert’s realization that his mom was right gave him a sudden boost of motivation. He decided that he would get to work right away, even before he had breakfast.
- Clean Up Day
- He quickly rolled out of bed, threw what he had on his bed to the floor, and flattened out his bed sheets, to then fluff up his pillow and gently set it back down. His mom then helped him re organize him room. Immediately after, Albert began picking up the books on his bedroom floor and placing them on his cabinet from smallest to largest.
- Clean Up Day
- Finally, the last chore needed to be done, he was to gather his toys scattered around and organize them into their intended spots. He continued cleaning and before he knew it, Albert was left with the neatest room known to a 7 year old boy.
- He then screamed out to his mom, “mom! I'm finished!” His mom came in a few seconds later to find his room all cleaned up, although she still saw a few books and a soccer ball under his bed, but she let it slide and said “Well done! Now come and have breakfast so you can help me with other chores around the house.”
- Albert was a little mad about this, but decided it was good to help once in a while. He went to eat his breakfast, trying to finish as quickly as possible to help his mom as much as he could.
