- Edward!!
- Alice Cullen got a vision that Edward Cullen, Bella's "ex-boyfriend", is going to kill himself. Bella wants to do everything in her power to stop him. So, now she's telling Jacob, her "best friend", that she is going to go save him. He tries to stop her but fails.
- Alice and Bella are on their way to Italy to save Edward. They have to be careful though because a businessman seems to be interested in their conversation. Alice tells Bella the tales and powers of this "Volturi" that Edward is trying to provoke, which would lead to his death if they get too provoked.
- Edward is trying to break the peace in the city by showing that he is a vampire. It's so convenient because
- Jane, Demetri, and Felix led Edward, Bella, and Alice to see Aro, the head of this huge coven, and determine their fate.
- Aro is intrigued with Bella's ability to shield any mind powers and he decides that if Bella should be able to live that she should be turned into a vampire in the near future. He lets them go with that ultimatum.
- While Alice, Edward, and Bella wait for it to get dark a large group of tourist are led through the hall in the same direction they just came from she then realizing that they are a delicious dinner for them and that sends her into a panic.
