  • Little did they know, the two droplets had soaked into the soil and become groundwater themselves!

  • The two raindrops have filtered out via soil! They've landed into their vacation spot (the river)! The next step is to rest in the warm sun.
  • AAAAAAH!
  • WHEE!!! We're finally out!
  • I think the heat just evaporated us! We basically just turned from liquid to a gas!
  • It's getting cold! I feel a condensation coming on!
  • Our two raindrops have sunbathed for too long! The heat has turned them into a gas (evaporation). As they rise, it will get colder, which will cause them to become water again (condensation).
  • Sara, how did this happen? Is this what mom and dad talked to us about?!
  • FINALLY! I wonder where we will end up!
  • Now that we've condensed, we are finally big and heavy enough to fall down!
  • The condensed drops are have now grown big enough to fall out of the clouds. This is called precipitation. Precipitation can fall in rain, sleet, snow, or hail.
