- The Assassination of Franz FerdinandThis event was said to be the start of WW1. It took place on June 28th 1914 exactly one month later the first battle of WW1 would commence
- The battle of Somme was started because the British wanted to take some attention away from the Germans at the Verdun Fortress this battle would go on to be one of the deadliest in WW1, This battle takes place in 1916 from July 1st all the way to November 18th
- The Battle of Verdun was about the Germans trying to capture the French fortress of Verdun. It is known as the longest lasting battle in all of WW1 took place from February 21st to December 18th of 1916
- On April 2nd 1917 Woodrow Wilson announced that America would be entering WW1. This helped fortify the Ally powers and make them by far the stronger alliance when compared to the Axis powers.
- The Russian revolution started in 1917 and made Russian forces pull out of the war so that they could try and stabilize their internal conflicts
- The sinking of the Lusitania was an important event during WW1 because the killing of all the innocent civilians helped rally support to join WW1 in America. This event occurred on May 7th 1915
