  • Hey what did you learn in science today
  • We learned about rocks is wasn't that fun
  • All we talked about is how rock change into different rocks the rocks were igneous, sedimentary, and metamorphic
  • Did she tell you Igneous rocks are formed from the solidification of molten rock material. Some form below Earth's surface. Some form on or above Earth's surface. We describe these two basic types: Intrusive igneous rocks crystallize below Earth's surface, and the slow cooling that occurs there allows large crystals to form.
  • I don't remember but she did say Metamorphic rocks arise from the transformation of existing rock to new types of rock, in a process called metamorphism. The original rock is subjected to temperatures greater than 150 to 200 °C and, often, elevated pressure, causing profound physical or chemical changes
  • o
  • yea she said that to but she also said Rock that has formed through the deposition and solidification of sediment, especially sediment transported by water (rivers, lakes, and oceans), ice (glaciers), and wind. Sedimentary rocks are often deposited in layers, and frequently contain fossils.
  • well did you know Sedimentary rocks are types of rock that are formed by the accumulation or deposition of mineral or organic particles at the Earth's surface, followed by cementation. Sedimentation is the collective name for processes that cause these particles to settle in place.
  • Also Intrusive igneous rocks are formed when magma “bakes” the surrounding rocks and minerals. This all happens underground. Extrusive igneous rocks are formed when lava cools quickly above the ground.
  • see you tomorrow
  • I think I'm starting to rock this world
  • Weathering (rain, wind, ice) and erosion wear away at landforms like mountains and hills. The little bits (sediments) form layers over millions of years. Fossils are found in these layers. The processes of compaction and cementation make these sediments into hard rock.
  • Ok bye
