Storyboard Text

  • Sure is a nice day   at our  traditional land in the Southeastern United States
  • Yep, just hope no one comes to ruin our perfectly happy life!
  • 1830-1850 was a pretty awful time for the  Chickasaw, Choctaw, Creek, Seminole, and Cherokee people
  • Most were relocated from their homes,  and this large amount of different relocations  was titled the  Trail of Tears
  • Howdy! We're here to relocate and ruin everything!
  • And there's  literally nothing you can do about it
  • I'm starving!
  • Approximately 2,000–6,000 of the 16,543 relocated Cherokee perished along the way to their new homes
  • Exposure! Disease!
  • This freaking sucks
  • Those Native Americans who were relocated were forced to march to their destinations by state and local militias
  • Only 10 billion miles left!
  • The Cherokee removal in 1838 was brought on by the discovery of gold near Dahlonega, Georgia in 1828, resulting in the Georgia Gold Rush.
  • Oh heck yeah! Gold!
