- I remembered the letter that was in the mysterious woman's purse
- ACT 3
- Nick was having breakfast in a café when a woman named Jan approaches him. She sits next to him and they talk for a long time, the woman sees a white-haired man cross the street and he enters the café and sits next to them watching them.
- Oh, no!Look! Look over there, by thedoor
- That's Mr. Hollywood!That man over there!
- ACT 4
- ACT 4
- Nick goes out for a walk at night,on the corner of the street he starts talking to a woman,when he feels someone push him from behind and he almost gets run over.
- Detective Edmonds, did the hospital call? Is Craig going to be all right
- Winters?Yes, he's going to be ok.
- ACT 5
- nick searches for the mysterious woman in the hotel and the white-haired man, remembers the letter in the woman's purse and decides to go to Victoria, to the empress hotel.
- In this scene Nick finds Meg at the "Empress Hotel" with a man named "Craig Winters” sometimes also called Mr.Hollywood, telling him everything he's been through for the white-haired man, aftera while the white-haired man enters the hotel and shoots Nick saying he is Mr.Hollywood, the shot goes over his head, but the shot hits Craig Winters.
- Nick and Meg are at thepolice station explaining what happened at the hotel, while Mr. Vickers was inanother room, some time later, Meg's father appears explaining everything thathappened, who Mr. Vickers was. At that time Meg and Nick learn that Mr.Hollywood had cheated a girl named Anna out of money and that she had jumpedoff a bridge in Boston, Mr. Vicker being Anna's father.
