- Hi i'm Cody and I go to lee centralmiddle school i'm in 6th grade, and i'm going to talk about heat transfer.
- Heat is the kinetic energyfrom one medium or object to another, or for an energy source to a medium or object.
- heat transfer is the movement of heat across the border of the system due to a difference in temperature between the system and its surroundings.
- conduction is the transfer of energy as heat or electricity for some examples touching a hot stove or walking on hot sand.
- Radiation includes emanation of any portion of the electromagnetic spectrum, plus it includes the release of particles. Examples include: A burning candle emits radiation in the form of heat and light. The Sun emits radiation in the form of light, heat, and particles.
- radiator - A radiator puts warm air out at the top and draws in cooler air at the bottom. steaming cup of hot tea - The steam you see when drinking a cup of hot tea indicates that heat is being transferred into the air. ice melting - Ice melts because heat moves to the ice from the air.
