The Quartering act of 1765 had two British laws made by the parliament of Great Britain , the laws were forced upon the colonies to house British soldiers and provide them with food and water and a place to sleep.
The Quartering act required the colonists to pay for accommodation for the British soldiers , once the French and Indian war was over many colonists found that there was no need for the British soldiers to be positioned in the colonies and Britain needed money to pay for its war debts.
There were more causes that lead up to the American revolution, now i shall introduce you to the second cause.
The Tea act was a law placed on May 10 1773, by the British parliament. The parliament made a deal with the East India tea company which imposed the colonists to order tea from this specific company , trade from this company, and use the company's ships to deliver tea, all this after they placed taxes where the colonists needed to pay for.
The colonists were filled with anger because of the taxes, so a group of people from Boston came and decided to take matters into their own hands so they went on board and dumped more than 300 boxes of tea in the water.
