Once upon time, there lived a king who owned all the land and made all the laws. He had the choice of who he wanted to give the land to.
The barons/nobles received land from the king and in return they agreed to supply the king with soldiers and horses for his army and be loyal to him. They gave some land to professional soldiers.
In return, the knights fought for the nobles and the king and they had to pay taxes. They showed special honor and respect to the lord (the king).
The knights shared out much of their land with the peasants/serfs who had to carry out duties for the knights if needed. They had to fight, not leave the knight or lords land unless the lord agreed, and they had to work on the lords land 3 days a week. They also had to farm and pay rent
My day would begin at sunrise, and i was awoken by my servants. After breakfast I would turn my attention to business. Then comes the mid-morning prayers during dinner, followed by the next prayers during sunset in supper, and finally prayers would be heard again before bedtime.
I rose before sunrise and began my day with breakfast. I would work the land from sunrise to sunset stopping for lunch around noon. I would eat my evening meal soon after sunset and go to bed as soon as it was dark.
