The Exposition is when Max is in the basement describing himself as lonely, dumb, and big, and also that he lives in the basement of his Grandparent's house and who his grandparents are. This shows the Exposition because the characters are being introduced and so is the setting.
The rising action is when Freak and Max find the purse in the sewer and set off to find Loretta Lee. This shows the rising action because tension is beginning to build up in the story as Freak and Max begin their journey.
The climax is when Killer Kane takes Max on Christmas Eve. This is the climax because it introduces a problem.
The Falling Action When freak saves Max from KillerKane by squirting chili powder in his eyes. This shows the Falling action because it is leading up to the end of the story
The conclusion is when Max goes to the Hospital and finds out that Freak had passed away and begins to right down their adventures together. This shows the conclusion because this is the end of the story and everything is wrapped up.
Two brains are better than one. This is the theme because they made the ultimate duo, since Max was the body and Freak was the brain. This also shows the theme because Freak and Max never give up.
