Patty: *crying tears of hurt and pain, disappointment, and ashamed*
Desiree: Mom? Is that you? What's wrong? Did you fall or something?... Mom answer me! Where you at?
Patty: *to Desiree* There's something I got to tell you... I've been laid off the only source of income for the past 23 years. How could they do this to my family!!!
Desiree: I'm sorry to hear that mom. Don't even stress about the bills I got you covered. I love and gratefully appreciate all you've done for me.
(Wide Shot): Desiree falls asleep dreaming about her next poetry topic for her English essay. She's on the way home not even stressing about the bullies, yes it hurts her feelings, but she's use-to being hurt.
(Medium Shot): Desiree has entered the door* She overhears her mother crying in the kitchen. With a confused look on her face, she runs up upstairs to her mom's room, thinking something is wrong because her mother is never mad well if she was she put on a brave face.
(Tight Shot): Patty tells Desiree about being laid off. Desiree: is trying to consult her mother by holding her and letting her know that she will find a job, to help pay for the expenses. She doesn't have to worry about losing the house because there is a way.
