- The story begins in the classroom, introducing his name Pi Patel. He tells the meaning about that Pi is an irrational number that goes on forever.

- I and your mother decided to immigrate to Canada, we will sell the zoo here in India, and the animals will go with us.
- Why? Dad?
- I don't want to leave here!
- The father and mother of Pi Patel decided to sell the zoo in India and moved to Canada. And the animals they will sell in American zoos.
- While they are sailing in the Pacific Ocean then suddenly unexpected happens.
- Be calm, I'm a good friend!
- HELP!
- Grrrrr.... Roarrr
- The boat sink because of the strong wind and storm. Pi ends up with a lifeboat. He is in the middle of the ocean with the tiger in fear but, he finds out that they can be good friends.
- I am Saved! Thank you my friend.
- After the long-stranded in the middle of the ocean, he finally reaches the bank. And Japanese people came to him to rescue him. And they talk to him to find out what's happened.
