- Ugh I had such a rough day at TBLS today. I think I caught a terrible case of Senioritis!!

- Well basically, segments of DNA from intruding viruses are cut into what are called, CRISPR-trays. CRISPR Trays allow for the cell to remember the invading virus, so next time Cas9 can recognize the DNA and take it out!!
- WHAT! Have you not heart of CRISPR-Cas9?!

- Well, with CRISPR-Cas9, you are also able to edit genes to your liking, simply by altering the nucleotide sequence of the cRNA, which later binds to a DNA target
- So basically, CRISPR-Cas9 is a new and insane scientific discovery that lets you alter DNA to your specific preference? It can take "mugshots" of viruses, and keep it on file to destroy them at any second?>?
- YES!YES!YES!The potential of this new and effective discovery has soooo much potential for both prevention and treatment of diseases we previously struggled to treat, for example, monogenic diseases
