- A tornado comes and destroys the land by ripping up all the grass and plants and kill all the animals
- Afterwards, there's nothing left but soil and dirt.
- Eventually some grass starts growing on the soil, and since this is secondary succession nothing is needed to break down bare rock and turn it into soil.
- Then some tall grass starts growing along with some bushes, and the ecosystem is looking visibly better.
- Then trees start growing, and small herbivores move in.
- The trees reach there fullest height, and new predators move in, for example the tree-dog. At this point, our ecosystem is now called a climax community
