- Hi im Rachel Carson and I am an author of a book that has helped saved nature to this day.
- The book that I wrote was called Silent Spring that expressed the dangers of DDT and what effects it has nature and humans
- Not only was I an author I also was a marine biologist and were one of the first woman to discover and research how tectonic plates work.
- in 1964 I passed away from cancer but from all my research and the book I wrote I left a big impact on society.
- Two years after my passing my book "Silent Spring" got a group of people together called environmental activists
- The environmentalists got congress to pass the National Environmental Policy act. The act made federal agencies go review the environmental impacts
