Gilgamesh the King
Storyboard Text
- Gilgamesh made men stop working to build a wall around the city and made women bring food. At first people didn't hesitate and thought he had reason for building of the wall.
- The people began fainting due to hunger, they prayed to the sun god for mercy. The sun god answered the peoples prayers my creating a man equally as strong as Gilgamesh. His name was Enkidu, he was raised by animals.
- Enkidu sees a hunter, he rescues the animals being hunted and the hunter tells Gilgamesh that Enkidu is the strongest man in the world and how he is a danger. Gilgamesh tells the hunter to bring Enkidu back to the city but he was to weak so they decided to trick him. They sent out the most beautiful women she sang and they fell in love.
- Gilgamesh climbed on top of the wall and yelled at Enkidu and dared him to come up and fight.
- Since both men are equally as strong nothing was happening until Gilgamesh tripped over a stone and fell down the wall, but Enkidu grabbed Gilgamesh's hand a pulled him back up.
- After Enkidu helped Gilgamesh up, he embraced Enkidu. Gilgamesh finally new what it was like to have a friend. Next they celebrated with a parade. Gilgamesh and Enkidu waved from the top of the wall.
