- Rat Kiley and Curt Lemon were talking and not pay attention. Curt Lemon steps on landmine and dies.
- I HATE YOU, I HATE YOU, I HATE YOU
- Waking up from a cold sweat thinking about the death of Curt Lemon. Tim O'Brien had to clean the body up and remembered Dave Jensen singing.
- Rat Kiley breaking down from all the emotional trauma and starts to cry.
- Tim O'Brien and Dave Jensen were the ones that had to clean up Curt Lemon body that was scattered all over the place. Dave Jensen singing a song called the "Lemon Tree".
- The soldiers went up higher into the mountains and try to find a spot to camp so that they are able to eat and rest for a small amount of time. Rat Kailey was going to eat and then he started to let out all of his feelings out and started to shoot at the buffalo and killed the bab buffalo.
- Rat Kiley crying from all the emotion that he had built up. He let every bit of his angry on to the baby buffalo because he was no longer able to hold on to the pain that he was feeling.
- Rat Kiley writing to Curt Lemon's sister talking about how he died and how he was his best friend. Curt Lemon's sister never wrote back to Rat Kiley and/or replied to him about the death of her brother.
- From Rat Kiley To Sister of Curt Lemon He was a friend that I love , he was someone that was kind and someone that was important to me. He lost his life from a mine that was planted under the ground. He was my best friend and i'm sorry for not paying more attention to him.
