Storyboard Text

  • Once upon a time there was a poor widow who lived in a little cottage with her only son Jack. This boy Jack often got into trouble. His mother was in desperate need of money so she decided that they would sell their goat. So she sent Jack off to the market to sell her.
  • When Jack arrived at the market, he noticed a man trading items for beans. Jack walked up to his stand and asked how many he could get for the goat. The man offered up a small bag of beans that he said to be magical. Jack, being a troublemaker, snatched the bag out of the man's hands and ran off with it.
  • When Jack returned home, his mother was disappointed that he had not sold the goat. Jack lied and told her that he was not able to find someone that wanted it. He went to the back to tie the goat up to its post. Then pulled out the magic beans and ran to the top the hill in his backyard to plant them.
  • To Jack's surprise, when he looked into the backyard, there was a giant beanstalk that had grown from the magic beans. Without his mother knowing, he walked up to the beanstalk and began to climb. When he reached the top he was in shock. There was a giant castle there and a lady by the front gate. The lady told him that there was a very rich giant living inside. As he was walking to enter the castle, the lady warned him that the giant was very dangerous and that he would sometimes be very tricky.
  • After hearing this Jack decided that he would go in anyway because he wanted some of the treasure. So he made his way through the gate and in the doors. He crept down the hallways passing room after room until he came up to one with a massive golden door. Jack pushed it open and to is astonishment there were gold coins and other treasures stacked high up into the air. He got to work right away taking bucketfuls of treasure to the top and dumping the treasure down to his house below. When jack was about halfway through the pile of gold he heard a loud rumbling noise coming from behind him. When he turned around, the giant that he almost forgot was even there was standing in his glory.
  • The giant shouted "“Fee, fa, fie, fo, fum", "Someone has been stealing my treasure!". Out of greed, Jack attempted to run to the treasure room one last time. This was a bad idea though, because the giant grabbed him with his massive hands and threw him off of the sky island to the ground below. Jack survived the fall but only because of the pile of treasure stacked below. He broke both of his legs but managed to go soon as he regained consciousness to the market in hopes of trading the gold for money. After asking around, he learned that it was all fools gold that he took. All of it. On his way back to his house in a makeshift wheelchair, Jack saw the lady that warned him of the giant. She strolled over to him and said, "I told you he was dangerous, you should have listened! He even tricked you with fools gold. Ha!"
