- The most important thing I learned in these sessions is that everyone is unique regardless of culture and religion. So diversity within a diversity must be taken into account. In the day out to Ronse, during the session on 'Den Botaniek, some differences came up. For example, they talked about their activity where they bake bread together with the different cultures each in their own way. Also in their social store they provide an alternative to pork, since people from the Muslim culture also come here. As a nurse, I especially want to be unbiased and look at the unique person.
- What will you bring to the field as a nurse?
- It was a very interesting talk, but I have to go to class now.
- Let me give you an example using the SDG no poverty. This SDG aims to reduce poverty by 2030. For instance, during the day out, we went to an organisation 'Den botany'. Among other things, this organisation runs a social shop where low-income people can buy food and clothes at cheap prices. This way, these people can also eat healthy food and wear nice clothes.
