- The compony told Eckels that time travel is dangerous, and safety is not guranteed.

- Eckels and the rest of the crew get into the time machine and travel back sixty million, two thousand and fifty-five years ago. Travis reminds the hunters 'stay on the path. Dont go off it.. For any reason.
- resolution
- Eckels and so amazed and frightened by the T-rex that he is unable to shoot it.Lesperance tells Ecskels to hie in the time machine, but Eckels goes the wrong way and steps off the path.
- When the hunters return to the present, everything has changed. The presiden, the sign, everything...
- Eckels looks down at his boots and sees a dead butterfly stuck to the bottom and they realize he has changed the future. Travis, furious, aims his weapon at Eckels and there is a sound of thunder
