- Luke Skywalker has been working on his uncle's moisture farm for some time. He is ready to apply to the academy and become a pilot.
- crossing the threshold
- Luke feels like he will never leave Tatooine, he dreams of becoming a hero and going on an adventure. One day he wants to be a leader.
- ordeal
- As Luke seeks out this adventure, he has to leave home to find his friends, R2-D2 and C-3PO. They are in trouble, but they are saved by a former general, leader, and Jedi knight.
- Return with the elixir
- Luke leaves home and crosses the threshold. They travel to the Mos Eisley spaceport and get into fights. Luke aligns himself with Han Solo and Chewbacca and leave Tatooine.
- Luke starts training and eventually turns the Death Star’s defences off and destroys it while saving Princess Leia. On the way though he witnesses Darth Vader kill Obi-Wan Kenobi.
- Luke Skywalker returns not with some magical potion but with success. He is awarded a medal by Princess Leia.
