On Siddhartha's last trip outside the palace walls, he saw a holy man... Siddhartha wondered who the holy man was. The driver explained to him that the holy man led a life of simplicity. The holy man did not have a home and he owned very few things. The holy man spent his life traveling the land in search of knowledge. Along the way he said prayers and found peace within himself and his surroundings. Siddhartha had empathy for the struggling people and he wanted to find a way to help them just like the holy man.
Siddhartha visited holy places and he prayed, searched and collected knowledge. He practiced yoga and meditation and yearned for a peaceful and still mindset. He sat for hours and sometimes days hoping for new ideas.
Siddhartha wandered for 6 years...
When Siddhartha turned 29, he left the palace. He left behind his family, his riches and his royal life.
Siddhartha meditated under a fig tree through a full day and a full night. He freed and cleared his mind and realized the way to end people's suffering.
