- Cortés sails to Mexico in an effort to conquer the lands of the Aztecs.

- Instead of the peaceful people he expected he was greeted by hostile natives that were ready to fight and fully armed.

- As they fought he decided to storm their city with 10 men on horseback and drove the native away since they had never seen horses they thought the men and horses were one and fled in fear.

- The next day the lords of Tabasco return to make peace by offering 20 women .One of these women was a young beautiful woman named Malinche they christened Dona Marina .She became Cortés' mistress and help him by translating during the conquest.
- When he left Tabasco Cortes sailed north and set up camp in the main land . Montezuma heard of this and thought this was the return of the all powerful Quetzalcoatal so he sent presents in hopes he would return east.Cortés was honored and wanted to meet King Montezuma.
- When Cortés meet Montezuma he used Dona Marina as a translator and soon was able to use Montezuma as a puppet leader but things turned sour when Montezuma became a hostage to Cortés and was stoned by the people.

- When Montezuma died Cortés tried to escape but was spotted on the other side of the lake and all.around Indians were ready to fight .Luckily Cortés somehow won and tried to conquer Tenochtitlán .
- Cortés won and captured the Aztecs taking over the city bit by bit soon the whole once amazing empire laid in ruins.
- Cortés enslaved the Aztecs and shipped their gold to Spain .King James was pleased and honoured Cortés .
