- Think of your blog being like a stage for you to express yourself and showcase your best work
- I wish I would have thought more before posting that on Facebook!
- The world is your audience. Share your blog on other social networks such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Snapchat
- Just remember that whatever you share online is now public!
- In general, when using social platforms in the classroom there are certain challenges to keep in mind. These include but are not limited to:Students may not all share the same technical abilities and there may not be sufficient supportUnproductive behaviourMisuse of social platformsParents may not approve of use of social platforms
- There are ethical issues that need to be considered when using social platforms such as:* Code of conduct being followed by all participants* Hacking and other safety issues* Preventing online harassment and bullying* Legal ramifications for online defamation
- Differentiation is most effective when we plan experiences based on student interest, readiness and the student voice. Ensure that struggling learners needs are addressed as well as advanced learners are given the ability to grow.Assess what the students know or don't know. Be clear about expectations and learning outcomes. Identify the student related background connections
