- In the market in kabul by parvana's house where Shauzia was saying goodbye to parvana as shauzia was going to leave for Turkey the next day. Remember Paris in 10 years ,shauzia says.
- Shauzia decided it would be best to leave early in the morning before her father woke up. She's leaving because it's hard living at home when she has a bad relationship with her father. She arrived where her boat was sitting and took off knowing it would be a long trip.
- Shauzia's aunt
- Two days later she arrived in Samson, Turkey not knowing where to go.All of a sudden she remembered that she has family in Samson. She asks around to see if anyone knows her family. After asking around a little bit she fall asleep on a park bench.
- She wakes up with a man sitting beside her she yells not knowing who this man is. He tells her where her family lives saying they have a bakery a few blocks away. They walk there together.
- She sees her aunt,who she only seen twice,she tells her who she is and why she's come. Her aunt makes her comfortable by giving her new clothes and a room in their flat. And offers her a job with pay she settles down in her new bedroom.
- She starts the next day working at the bakery. After she's done her first shift she sits down to read the newspaper and read about a chain of landmines blowing up close to where parvana was supposed to be walking, worried she sits down and eats a sandwich her aunt made her.
