Abraham and Sarah could not have kids which was a huge disappointment as they really wanted a family.But God Had a pan for them that they didn't know about.
When Abraham was 75 years old God promised him lots and lots of kids. As well as sending the rescuer through his family. But this was only if they would leave their home and follow God. So Sarah and Abraham had a big decision to make as they were getting old and need to decide. But they ended up deciding to go and follow God and trust in him.
So Sarah and Abraham followed God to a place called Canaan right away Abraham was reminded of God's promise.
''I will make your children like the dust of the Earth''.
Sarah and Abraham waited for a very long time and began to be impatiant. But at night God told abraham to look at the stars becuse you with have this any kids. But they waited and waited and still nothing happend. But one day God told Abrham that Sarah will have a son next year. But by then Abraham was 99 years old. He told Sarah what God had said and she laughed. She and Abraham lost their patients and didn't beleive that it would happen.

After Abraham turned 100 Sarah fell pregnant. After having her baby boy she named him Isaac meaning Laughter.
Then when Isaac grew up he had lots of kids which had lots of kids which had lots of kids. So the promise that God had made to Isaac's parents was kept and was continually being kept.
